CLDP invited government officials, private sector representatives, civil society organizations, and entrepreneurs from Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to a 5 day program focusing on arbitration and on company registration. CLDP conducted in-depth training consisting of presentations from Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) arbitrators on the legal framework of arbitration in Singapore. Participants visited the SIAC headquarters at Maxwell Chambers, the state-of-the-art international center of arbitration in Singapore, where they toured the facilities, viewed a presentation on the design of arbitration facilities, and met with members of SIAC’s Secretariat to discuss the development of national arbitration bodies.

Participants also focused on the company registration process by visiting the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and meeting with Singaporean officials for training on the fundamentals and philosophy behind Singapore’s company registration procedures. Participants then visited the headquarters of SPRING to hear a presentation on SME development programs, followed by a field visit to the Small Medium Business Association.
