Caucasus and Central Asia: 40-Hour Mediation Certificate Course

40-Hour Mediation Course

CLDP conducted an intensive five‑day mediation training for mediators from the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia 🇦🇲, the Mediation Association of Georgia Center for Early and Effective Dispute Resolution 🇬🇪 and the Uzbekistan Dispute Resolution Center 🇺🇿.

This program directly supports U.S. companies operating overseas by ensuring they have access to local mechanisms to resolve commercial disputes quickly and efficiently, thereby minimizing costly legal delays. By structuring this training to support the centers' International Mediation Institute (IMI) accreditation goals, CLDP is helping them transition into internationally recognized, domestic certifying ADR centers for mediation. This also builds a stronger, more credible, and highly skilled roster of local mediators capable of handling complex commercial disputes to global standards.

Stronger commercial mediation frameworks directly benefit the United States. When partner countries have predictable, trusted mechanisms for resolving business conflicts, U.S. companies face lower risk, faster timelines, and clearer pathways to investment. These systems help unlock new commercial opportunities, strengthen regional economic stability, and reinforce the United States’ position as a leading economic partner across Central Asia and the Caucasus.
