On October 12-14, CLDP, in coordination with the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law, held a workshop to prepare law students from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for the annual Willem C. Vis Moot (Vis Moot) that will take place in Vienna in April 2019.  CLDP implemented a training on written arguments with CLDP-sponsored international and local experts, which included interactive practice and coaching sessions. Four universities from BiH will participate in the competition in April including: University of Sarajevo, University of Mostar, University of Tuzla and University of Zenica.  Capitalizing on the success of last year’s BiH teams, where University of Zenica placed in the top ranking schools at the Vienna competition, CLDP plans to host to host a roundtable with experts, international arbitrators and local tech companies in coordination with the February 2019 pre-moot competition to be held in Zenica. 

On October 12, CLDP, in coordination with the American Chamber of Commerce BiH, invited several companies, including Microsoft BiH, to participate in a reception and networking opportunity for the law students. DCM Ellen Germain made opening remarks and spoke with several of the students and coaches about the importance of law and technology.
