CLDP, in coordination with the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, held a videoconference with a multi-stakeholder group of government officials and private sector leaders to discuss technology transfer capacity and the potential for commercialization of intellectual property at universities and research institutions in Armenia. The videoconference highlighted the progress of a group of university and legal professionals in establishing a technology transfer office in Armenia following their participation in CLDP-led technical assistance programs on technology transfer in 2017 and 2018. Technology transfer and commercialization of intellectual property promote innovation and economic development and create opportunities for future research and development partnerships with American institutions.
