CLDP held a two-day workshop on Border Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Kosovo. Led by experts from USCBP, USPTO, ICE and the U.K. Chartered Trading Standards Institute, the workshop addressed issues specifically identified by Kosovo Customs and the Kosovo business community, including risk assessments and targeting, identification of IPR violations at the border, methods of enhancing interagency and interregional coordination and cooperation with the private sector, seizure and destruction of counterfeit goods, ex officio authority, and other topics. The workshop, attended by approximately 20 customs officials from headquarters and border crossing points, included concrete guidance and examples, explored through presentations and interactive group exercises.
