CLDP, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and in coordination with Kosovo Customs, held the Second Workshop on Customs Valuation, Classification, and Post Clearance Audit in Pristina, Kosovo on June 15-17, 2016. Organized at the request of the Kosovo Customs Service, the workshop brought together 24 Kosovar customs officials from various regional customs offices as well as the national headquarters in Pristina and U.S. experts to share best practices and U.S. experiences in Valuation, Classification, and Post Clearance Audit techniques. The increased capacity gained from this workshop will help Kosovo meet international customs standards. This program is part of a series of workshops that will implement a comprehensive training program for Kosovo’s customs officials through trainings on various customs topics including proper identification of IPR commodities and ethics.
