CLDP co-hosted a Workshop on Customs Procedures for Facilitating the Export of Handicrafts in Rabat, Morocco from May 16-17, 2017 in coordination with Morocco's Maison de l'Artisan and Ministry for Tourism, Air Transport, Handicrafts, and Social Economy. The workshop gathered stakeholders in the handicraft sector, including artisans, artisan cooperatives, and government representatives, for training on customs procedures for handicraft exports. It featured experts from both U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Moroccan customs service. 

The workshop is part of a multi-year CLDP effort to promote the export of Moroccan handicrafts, including to the United States, in order to promote entrepreneurship, employment, and small business growth. The program is funded by the Middle East Partnership Initiative of the U.S. Department of State
