CLDP, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Iraq and Istanbul Bilgi University held a preparatory training in Isatanbul, Turkey, aimed to prepare the Iraqiya University, College of Law Vis Moot team for the 2014 William C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, to be held in Vienna, Austria in March 2014.  The training was led by former Vis Alumni involved, and co-moderated by CLDP and Vis experts. The objective of the program is develop a sustainable model of “train the trainers”, by applying best practices proposed by the Vis manual, a new toolkit developed by CLDP, in collaboration with University of Pittsburgh's Center for International Legal Education. Through this program, CLDP is supporting a new generation of international transactional lawyers.
 
The annual Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held in Vienna, Austria, is the pre-eminent moot on commercial law and arbitration. In 2013, teams from over 260 universities and 65 countries took part in the written and oral advocacy competition.
