CLDP in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture, supported the travel of the Government of Ukraine (GOU) delegation to the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Committee Meeting to take place on July 10-14, 2017 at WTO Secretariat, Geneva. The GOU delegation consisted of one Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and one Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine officials. They attended the SPS Committee meeting and participate in bilateral negotiations with the U.S. and other delegations.

The GOU participation in the SPS Committee Meeting will ensure Ukraine has a more active role on issues critical to Ukraine’s trade sector; it effectively accomplishes the procedural requirements, carries out the negotiations, and provides answers to questions posed by SPS Committee members, including the United States.
