From September 15-26, CLDP held commercial law legal clinics for 20 Kabul University students and faculty. Leading the clinics was a team of CLDP Attorney-Advisors and experienced U.S. practitioners. Program topics covered contracts, negotiation, and dispute resolution, focusing not on theory, but on the practice of law. This program was part of a series of commercial legal education initiatives developed in conjunction with Kabul University and the American University of Afghanistan, that aim to develop practical, exercise-based commercial law learning experience for Afghan law students. Through establishing a commercial law clinic, the program focused on commercial contracting and related issues at the heart of business law practice.
