Consultations in the U.S. on Processing Customs Claims and on Border Protection
-
In summer 2007, one-week consultations were organized in the United States for an inter-agency group of Omani officials (mostly Omani Customs officials). The consultations focused on: operational procedures for risk management; administration of claims for FTA preference, including implementation of the rules of origin in the FTA; prevention of commercial fraud, including consultations with U.S. importers on their experiences; the U.S. system for issuance of advance rulings; and inspection at port of entry.
