A Bahraini delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahraini Economic Development Board, the Bahraini Monetary Agency and the private sector visited the United States to participate in consultations with experts in the Corporate Governance field. The meetings that were arranged in conjunction with the Corporate Governance Forum, IFC, World Bank were held in Washington DC, Delaware and New York City. The delegation was able to meet and participate in discussions with leaders in the field. A visit to a Supreme Court Justice in Delaware gave insight on current cases in the United States relating to corporate governance practices. The New York Stock exchange corporate governance Chief of Staff, Office of Chief Regulatory Officer, gave insight on enforcement practices.
