CLDP developed and implemented a workshop for Ukrainian customs on post importation verification audits. Utilizing the expertise of the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Enforcement, the workshop discussed the process that enables Customs officers to verify the accuracy of declarations, through the examination of books, records business systems and all relevant Customs commercial data held by persons/companies directly or indirectly involved in international trade. This workshop also reviewed risk assessment and targeting to determine a proper value for customs.
