Afghanistan Bankruptcy Law Workshop

June 15, 2015 - June 17, 2015

On June 15-17, CLDP led a workshop in New Delhi, India on Afghanistan’s draft Bankruptcy Law for officials of the Afghan Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MoCI) and Ministry of Justice (MoJ), as well as members of parliament. CLDP Bankruptcy experts reviewed the draft law and provided suggested revisions. The workshop is a continuation of CLDP’s work with stakeholders involved in and affected by the law to draft and pass an effective insolvency law for Afghanistan. CLDP formulated an action plan timetable with benchmarks for further consultations and actions by parliament in an effort to see the law passed this year.
