On February 28, CLDP held a full day workshop with twenty-three officers of the Dominican General Directorate of Public Private Partnerships (DGAPP), discussing the lifecycle of a public-private partnership (PPP) project. The workshop included substantive sessions from two CLDP expert advisors, formerly the heads of the PPP units in Puerto Rico and El Salvador, respectively. The workshop focused on the practical application of structuring a PPP, including how to internally determine each department’s roles and responsibilities through each stage of the project lifecycle, from preparation through post-execution. This workshop is part of CLDP’s multi-phase program to improve the DGAPP’s capacity to guide the development of an impactful, transparent, and bankable pipeline of PPP projects.
