On February 15-16, CLDP held a two-day conference on modernizing Ecuador’s technology infrastructure and creating a more resilient cybersecurity framework for key systems like data centers and government facilities with Ecuador's Ministry of Telecommunications. The workshop focused on digitalization of government services, safeguarding of digital information through best cybersecurity practices, and regional case studies on the implementation of digital modernization acts. Speakers from Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Panama, and Estonia presented to over 50 representatives from the Ecuadorian government both in person and online. This workshop was a follow on to a CLDP workshop held in Quito in June 2022 which focused on the digital divide and Open RAN 5G technology.
