From July 24-26, 2018, CLDP, in collaboration with Customs Committees of Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Montenegro organized the first regional Balkans Workshop on Regional Coordinated Border Management for Balkans Countries in Podgorica, Montenegro. The workshop aimed at harmonizing customs procedures in the Balkans through WTO's Trade Facilitation Agreement Framework.  The workshop included presenters and experts from the World Customs Organization (WCO), US Customs and Border Protection, and the National Revenue Administration.  Topics covered include: Trade Facilitation: Role in Integrated Border Management, Developing Optimal Supply Chains, Single Window Mechanics and Cross Border Trade Facilitation, Free Trade Agreements, Advance Rulings, and Paperwork Required at the Border, and Known Trader Systems-How to Expedite Trade Facilitation at the Border, in addition to several other related topics. This workshop is the first in a series of programs on coordinated border management, which will harmonize customs procedures in the Balkans.
