CLDP hosted a workshop for Ukrainian investors on best practices in identifying and attracting U.S. franchises to Ukraine. The participant group was identified and selected by the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service at Embassy Kyiv (FCS-Kyiv). Most participants are either current Ukrainian franchisors, foreign company franchisees, or other investors interested in expanding their portfolios to include U.S. franchises. Roughly 40 participants joined each day in person in Kyiv (with COVID-19 safety protocols in place). To expand participation and ensure sufficient spacing was available in person to adhere to COVID-19 protocols, the program was accessible through a concurrent link. Around 10-12 participants joined virtually in addition to the 40 in-person participants.
