On September 27-29, 2022, CLDP, in partnership with the Georgia Revenue Service (GRS), conducted a three-day workshop on Best Practices: TFA Article 7 Post Clearance Audit & Risk Management (“Workshop”) to further develop the GRS’s capacity in these critical areas of customs enforcement. The Workshop convened GRS officials involved with Post Clearance Audit (PCA) and Risk Management together with subject matter experts from the U.S. and EU customs authorities. These experts and officials presented the technical aspects of a successful PCA and Risk Management system, conducted interactive case studies designed to further illustrate and cement best practices, and discussed how to improve GRS’s trade facilitation within the framework of TFA Article 7. This workshop is the latest installment in CLDP and GRS’s ongoing work focusing on comprehensive implementation of TFA Article 7.
