On September 9th 2021, CLDP met with the U.S. Embassy and two senior representatives from the telecommunications agency of the government of Guyana to review proposed priority areas for technical assistance as approved.  Potential topics for capacity building include spectrum management, universal broadband service, and administrative procedures, all in terms of operationalizing the new Telecommunications Act. This meeting aimed to define a path for CLDP technical assistance to Guyana under the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership, a global initiative to advance connectivity and digital trade, improve policy and regulatory environments for ICT sector growth, and enhance cyber security.
