From July 22-23, 2024, CLDP, together with ARKEP, the Kosovar Telecoms Regulator, held a Workshop on 5G Cybersecurity in the Telecommunications Sector.  The Workshop featured discussions on several risk areas associated with maintaining a modern and secure network, including: identifying and restricting high-risk suppliers, interagency cooperation on excluding untrusted vendors, security requirements for mobile network operators, and avoiding dependency on high-risk suppliers.  Experts from the U.S., the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Albania engaged with their Kosovar counterparts on two draft provisions on 5G cybersecurity and excluding untrusted vendors.
