CLDP, in coordination with U.S. Embassy Pristina, was delighted to facilitate the visit of Director General of Kosovo Customs Agron Llugaliu and his team to Paris, France to meet with French Customs officials and exchange information on best practices in customs procedures. Customs officials have the important dual mandate of protecting the well-being of citizens, while also facilitating trade and the flow of goods. This visit from April 23-24 focused on techniques for striking that balance and featured presentations on French practices in risk management and post-clearance audit. Thank you to Deputy Director General Jean-François Dutheil and all our French colleagues for the gracious reception and for organizing such an informative and engaging program. Thank you also to Laurance Frierson for lending his expertise and leading excellent discussion sessions at the conclusion of each day.
