Transparent, rules-based, and security-conscious procurement processes create greater predictability and fairness in the marketplace. This levels the playing field for responsible U.S. companies and expands opportunities for American firms to compete for public contracts in Kosovo. 

On July 16 -17, CLDP hosted a consultation in Prishtina, Kosovo focused on strengthening the public procurement framework. The event brought together key government stakeholders as well as the Working Group tasked with drafting Kosovo’s public procurement legislation. U.S. and European experts provided comparative legal analysis, practical legislative drafting guidance, and implementation tools to help align Kosovo's draft procurement legislation with international best practices while incorporating national security considerations into the procurement process.
