On November 22, in Bishkek, CLDP conducted a Technology Transfer Workshop for stakeholders in government, universities, and the private sector.  Experts from Boston University and Cornell University presented on patent/market research and marketing of inventions from academic research.  In addition, on November 21, CLDP conducted meetings with university representatives from the American University in Central Asia, Kyrgyz State Technical University, and University of Central Asia to organize liaisons from these universities to the central Technology Transfer Office at Kyrgyzpatent developed with the help of CLDP. Effective technology transfer in the Kyrgyz Republic will lead to increased protection of intellectual property for Kyrgyz and U.S. products alike.
