Investment screening is a vital tool for protecting national security and fostering a safe and transparent environment for U.S. investments. Over the past three days, CLDP, together with the U.S. Department of Treasury, U.S. Department of State, CEISD (Romania), and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, held targeted workshops with government officials and private-sector stakeholders to support the development of North Macedonia’s investment screening framework. This effort reflects a shared commitment to enhancing economic resilience and safeguarding against malign influence and was made possible thanks to the strong support of the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia and the Ministry for European Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia.
