As a continuation of CLDP programming, made possible via an interagency agreement with USAID, to enhance the capabilities and international cooperation of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), CLDP and CCP officials will participated in the 2015 Annual Meeting of the International Competition Network (ICN) held in Sydney, Australia, April 28 – May 1, 2015.  ICN’s mission statement is to advocate the adoption of superior standards and procedures in competition policy around the world, formulate proposals for procedural and substantive convergence, and seek to facilitate effective international cooperation to the benefit of member agencies, consumers, and economies worldwide.  This program provided exposure to international best practices, as well as current regional and global challenges, in the field of competition and consumer protection law for CCP officials, which will contribute to transparent and predictable domestic and international business transactions.  In addition, participation in the ICN Annual Meeting facilitated recognition of CCP efforts and accomplishments to date, and provided the opportunity for CCP officials to expand their professional relationships within the global community.
