From March 21-22, 2017, CLDP conducted a Competition Law Workshop on Abuse of Dominance for the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). CCP has been identified by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) competition experts as a model for developing countries trying to establish sustainable competition regimes. CLDP's two FTC experts conducted a two-day workshop for the CCP staff which was designed to identify and analyze how exclusive dealing arrangements between and among participants in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail sale of goods affect competition. This workshop was the third phase in a series intended to build the technical capacity of the CCP. The next phase will take place in September, 2017.
