As a continuation of CLDP programming to enhance the capabilities and international cooperation of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), CLDP and CCP officials participated in the Seventh United Nations Conference to Review All Aspects of the Set of Multilaterally Agreed Equitable Principles and Rules for the Control of Restrictive Business Practices held in Geneva, Switzerland, July 6 - 10, 2015.  This event was hosted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). This conference focused on ways that competition authorities can strengthen competition law enforcement and advocacy, international cooperation on merger cases, while at the same time promote sustainable and inclusive growth.  It also served as a forum for peer reviews of competition law and policies of several developing countries from the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In addition, participation in this conference facilitated recognition of CCP efforts and accomplishments to date, and provided the opportunity for CCP officials to expand their professional relationships within the global community. The CCP Chairwoman was named as a Vice President of the conference and moderated the session on enforcement and advocacy.
