Philippines: CLDP Conducts Program on Commercial Arbitration

On August 4-5, CLDP and White & Case reviewed commercial arbitration procedures with the Philippines Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), which handles arbitrations on behalf of the government. The goal is to ensure that the OSG attorneys have the knowledge to handle commercial disputes so that U.S. businesses contracting with the government can have predictable, efficient, and fair proceedings. CLDP also provided recommendations to improve the implementing rules and regulations of Executive Order 78, which currently hinder arbitration in the country.
