On July 27, 2020, CLDP organized a webinar on project screening tools for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). The webinar was pre-recorded and dispersed to CLDP counterparts in Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The development of a PPP requires a significant amount of time and resources. To ensure that those resources are well spent, project screening tools are utilized to select appropriate projects for the PPP pipeline. During the webinar, expert presenters discussed screening a potential project, economic feasibility of the project, and overall project readiness. The webinar was split into two sessions, with the first session providing participants with subject background and the second session providing an in depth discussion of a hypothetical PPP case study. PPPs are seen as an innovative approach to developing major infrastructure projects across the globe. The webinar is part of a PPP series developed for Power Africa and the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
