From November 7 to 11, CLDP hosted delegations from Bangladesh and the Maldives for a U.S. port sector consultation tour in New Orleans, Louisiana. The tour was designed to inform development and instill best practices in the Bangladeshi and Maldivian port sectors and included representatives from a variety of government ministries. The consultative tour included Louisiana ports, flood reduction infrastructure, the American Association of Port Authorities - Port Financing Seminar, and other meetings with local authorities in the port sector. Developing port infrastructure is of particular importance to Bangladesh and the Maldives and the delegates will be able to share best practices learned from the consultation tour with their respective ministries
