On May 12, 2022, CLDP convened the first formal meeting of a working group on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the South Caucasus. The mission of the new working group, which consists of members from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, is to help make ADR an affordable, available, and effective option for businesses to resolve cross border disputes in the region. The group plans to hold regional events in the coming year that help build the capacity of the region’s ADR community, while promoting regional cooperation and exchange of information. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Eastern Europe and CIS International Arbitration Conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, and working group members also served as panelists for the conference’s regional session on the South Caucasus.
