In response to a request by Armenia's Prime Minister to the Department of Commerce, CLDP ran a follow-up workshop in Yerevan on Technology Transfer and Technology Licensing for inventors, scientists, and researchers. Developed in close coordination with the US Embassy in Armenia, the US Civilian Research Development Foundation, and its Armenian counterpart, the National Foundation for Science and Advanced Technology (NFSAT), the workshop aimed to specifically address issues raised during the initial May 2009 workshop, such as the structure of a licensing agreement and estimating the value of a technology. The workshop included two experts in the field of technology transfer and technology licensing and featured country-specific case studies, an exercise in analyzing a license agreement, and a presentation on the structure and function of a license agreement. Funding for the US government's contribution to the project came from the US Department of Commerce's Total Economic Engagement (TEE) program.
