On June 10-12, 2015, in Kyiv, Ukraine, CLDP, in collaboration with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, conducted a workshop on the Implementation of the WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation (TFA) to support the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and other government officials. The workshop focused on the requirements and advantages of the TFA and on determining the capacity building efforts needed to implement the cross-border measures contained therein.

Over the course of three days, the participants were involved in interactive exercises based on the international practice of implementation of the TFA and identified institutional and legislative impediments to its implementation. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants and experts from both tracks jointly outlined a roadmap and specific recommendations aimed at a more effective enactment of the rules envisaged in the WTO TFA within the Ukrainian legislative and institutional environment.
