On October 10-11, 2011 the National Seminar on the Revised WTO Agreement on Government Procurement was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. The seminar was co-sponsored by CLDP. The participants of the seminar included the Chairman of the WTO Committee on Government Procurement, officials of the WTO secretariat, staff of the CLDP office in Kyiv, Ukraine, officials from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, USAID LINC project, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, as well as the Head of the Delegation of Ukraine in WTO Negotiations. The speakers included the Chairman of the WTO Committee on Government Procurement, officials of the WTO secretariat, and representatives of the government of Ukraine.

The seminar enabled the participants to understand the most complicated provisions of the revised WTO Government Procurement Agreement as well as the details of the negotiations process. The final adoption of the WTO GPA is expected in December 2011. Ukraine intends to accede to the Agreement.
