The 3 day workshop for Egyptian Competition Authority staff took place on September 10-12, 2006. Approximately 40 participants reviewed case studies and competition strategies with 2 legal and economic experts from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and one economist from the U.S. Department of Justice. At the conclusion of the 3 day workshop, Egyptian Competition Authority staff and the U.S. advisors spent one day each with the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce/Egyptian Federation of Industries and the Egyptian Businessmen Association to raise the awareness and answer questions regarding the legislation.
