On March 27-28, 2019, CLDP launched an 18-month initiative to support the development of Ethiopia’s newly established Public Private Partnership (PPP) office. The creation of the PPP office came as a result of Ethiopia’s February 2018 adoption of the landmark PPP law.

On March 19-20, 2019, CLDP led two separate panels on new commercial laws recently passed in Bahrain. Participants at the roundtables included members of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society and the American Chamber of Commerce.

On March 18, 2019, in Manama, Bahrain, U.S. Ambassador Justin Siberell, the First Deputy Speaker of the Bahrain Parliament, and CLDP announced the release of a guide on commercial legislative research.

On March 18-19, in collaboration with ITA, CBP, and USDA, CLDP conducted a trade facilitation workshop on best practices in public consultation for more than 60 government officials and private sector representatives in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

On March 17-20, 2019, CLDP sponsored delegations of franchising stakeholders from Algeria and Tunisia, including government officials and private-sector executives, in which they attended a workshop and visited an expo focused on international franchising in Paris, France.
