CLDP will facilitate the initial workshop of its pilot investment screening project. The workshop will be led by U.S. government experts from CFIUS member agencies, who will present on best practices related to effective investment screening mechanisms. This project will help the Government of Georgia protect itself from the national security risks and vulnerabilities to malign economic influence that can result from foreign transactions that involve the acquisition of strategic assets, including sensitive technologies, critical infrastructure, and personal data.
