From October 28, 2021 to January 21, 2022 CLDP, in cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and the University of Pittsburgh, is partnering with U.S. pro bono lawyers to provide legal writing sessions for 41 teams from 27 countries, which are set to compete in the 29th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot). The lawyers will meet with students on a weekly basis to teach the basics of persuasive legal writing for commercial arbitration cases, and support teams in developing their legal memoranda submissions for the Vis Moot competition. These sessions are a component of CLDP’s 7-month Vis Moot training program, which aims to cultivate a network of commercial arbitration specialists in global markets and improve the legal environment for contract enforcement worldwide.
