On December 20-21, CLDP along with expert advisors will conduct a virtual training for the Moldovan Public Procurement Agency and Moldovan procurement officials on best practices and legal considerations associated with procuring social services. This project will help Moldova implement new procurement rules adopted as a result of its association agreement with the European Union. Through this training, Moldovan procurement officials will learn about the approaches to procuring social services and strategies to encourage greater NGO participation in the procurement market while ensuring a level playing field for all interested foreign and domestic parties. The program will result in recommendations for Moldova to take to ensure a more efficient procurement system focuses increasingly on the total value of procurements, especially those in the social sector, as opposed to simply lowest cost bids.
