From February 24 – 27, CLDP organized a series of round tables in Karachi, Pakistan, in support of three ADR Centers: the Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR), the Center for International Investment & Commercial Arbitration (CIICA) and the Institute of Business Administration Dispute Resolution Forum (IBA-DRF), in order to promote a better understanding of ADR among the business community. The round tables reached an audience of transactional lawyers, CEOs, and in-house counsels of a select group of businesses in the Sindh province, who represent potential users of the centers’ ADR services. The round tables were also attended by the Government of Pakistan’s Trade Dispute Resolution Organization (TDRO), which is interested in collaborating to raise awareness of effective and efficient ADR institutions in the country. The round tables were a part of CLDPs ongoing support for the development of effective ADR mechanisms to strengthen the business enabling environment for businesses and investors to operate in Pakistan and trade across borders.
