On September 20-21, CLDP, in coordination with USPTO, several Ukrainian universities, and the Ukrainian National Bar Association hosted a workshop for Ukrainian law students on intellectual property law and legal writing/oral advocacy. This event was the kick-off event for the CLDP-organized 2021-22 Ukrainian National IP Moot Competition. The event provided an overview of the Moot Competition structure, training on English for lawyers, and introduction to fundamental concepts in both domestic and international IP law. The school year-long Moot Competition will provide Ukrainian Law Students a rare opportunity to engage in hands-on practical application of both IP law, alternative dispute resolution, and general lawyering techniques. This will be the largest IP-focused moot competition in Ukraine.
