As part of its continued technical assistance in the field of intellectual property protection to the Government of Georgia, CLDP co-sponsored the participation of the Chairman and the Head of the Trademarks Department of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia "SAKPATENTI" to attend the 2013 Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) in Dallas, Texas. The five day INTA meeting is an annual event offering trademark education and networking opportunities for legal professionals with an interest in trademarks and related intellectual property rights. Over 9,500 intellectual property experts from more than 140 countries attended the event, giving the Sakpatenti officials an opportunity to establish critical contacts and further promote their policies and objectives for effective IPR enforcement in Georgia.

This activity is part of CLDP's close cooperation with Sakpatenti and its effort to strengthen the capacity of Georgian government officials in order to improve the protection and enforcement of intellectual property.
