CLDP in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the US Embassy Kyiv, supported the travel of the Government of Ukraine (GOU) delegation to the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) Committee Meeting that took place on February 20-23, 2017 at WTO Secretariat, Geneva. The GOU delegation consisted of two Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine officials. They attended the GPA Committee meeting and participate in bilateral negotiations with the U.S. and other delegations.

The commitment to join the Agreement on Government Procurement was undertaken by Ukraine when it joined the World Trade Organization (WTO). Ukraine has recently negoted its accession to GPA. In order to accomplish the procedural requirements it is incumbent upon the Ukrainian Government to participate in the GPA Committee Meeting to provide answers to questions posed by GPA members, including the United States
