On September 4-6, 2017, CLDP, in partnership with the Republic of Moldova’s Public Procurement Agency and the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, hosted a Workshop on Transparent and Efficient Procurement in Chisinau, Moldova. The workshop aimed to help Moldova implement best international practices in a number of key areas identified in previous CLDP programs. The workshop also produced a set of specific recommendations that will advance Moldova’s progress in reforming its procurement system and approximating it to internationally-accepted standards and best practices, including the WTO GPA. The reformed procurement system will improve the trade and investment climate of Moldova. The workshop was attended by 70 participants from Moldovan government agencies and contracting authorities across the country.
