On July 12-13, CLDP partnered with the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia to hold the Fourth Annual "Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy" International Conference in Batumi, Georgia. More than 120 participants attended the conference, which served as a platform for national and international experts to present developments and best practices in the field of intellectual property as they pertain to counterfeiting and piracy. The diverse roster of speakers at the event included experts from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the World Customs Organization, as well as a wide range of international organizations and private sector firms.

The conference fostered dialogue and raised awareness among public- and private-sector stakeholders in Georgia on the legal frameworks and enforcement techniques used to combat counterfeiting. This program also promoted enhanced cooperation and coordination in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, which is critical to the success of U.S. businesses and to the U.S. economy.
