On October 18-20, CLDP led a compliance training for officials from the General Directorate for Public Procurement. The officials are part of a pilot program, and each carry out a function within key Dominican ministries that undertake large procurements. The training focused on the main barriers and opportunities facing officials within their respective ministries, as well as general skills such as change and risk management, interest-based negotiation tactics, and a technical overview of the procurement lifecycle. CLDP’s efforts are part of a multi-year, USAID-funded program to increase transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the procurement system.
