From November 30 to December 1, CLDP led a workshop with officials from Procompetencia, the regulatory body responsible for promoting and protecting competition, and the General Directorate for Public Procurement to discuss cooperation in combating anticompetitive practices in public procurement and strategies to detect and investigate such practices. The workshop also focused on international best practices and lessons to be applied in the modification of the Dominican Republic’s competition law. This program is part of CLDP’s multi-year plan to increase transparency, accountability, open competition, and inclusivity in the country’s procurement system.
