On February 24-25, CLDP, in close collaboration with the Dominican General Directorate for Public Contracting (DGCP), held a hybrid workshop on best practices in incorporating value for money in its public procurements. Experts from CLDP, the U.S. Air Force and Commerce’s Contract Law Division discussed key concepts and tools needed for effectively conducting procurements based on value for money criteria. Dominican procurement officials from the DGCP engaged in working group sessions to develop source selection plans that incorporate relevant and objective evaluation factors in addition to a cost/benefit analysis. This workshop is part of CLDP’s multi-phase programming to strengthen the transparency of the DR’s procurement system and improve results.
