On March 25-26, CLDP, in collaboration with Peru’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property, hosted a two-day workshop on best practices for preventing, detecting and investigating anti-competitive behavior in public procurement for procurement and competition officials in Lima, Peru. Experts from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, U.S. General Services Administration, and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development shared strategies for strengthening cooperation between procurement and competitions authorities, offered tools to identify collusive patterns and irregularities in consortia and facilitated a practical exercise that allowed participants to analyze real-world scenarios.
